About Sue Crampton Twenty-three years ago, if you had told Sue Crampton that she would be thriving in the real estate business she wouldn't have believed you. "I was coerced into it," laughs Sue. "My stepdaughter and wonder-ful friend, Mary Waldman, was moving to Florida and decided to begin a career in real estate. My husband told Mary to take me to real estate school with her. I went kicking and screaming, yet here I am, still doing this twenty-two and a half years later. And you know what? I absolutely love my job!"

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Pristine Florida Properties, Inc., Sue has achieved an elite level in the real estate business, She says she owes so much of her current success to her partners in the business, Albert Kodsi and Ben Shoemaker. In June 2000. under parent company Royal Palm Homes, owned by Albert Kodsi, Pristine Florida Properties was founded with Albert Kodsi as President, Ben Shoemaker as Vice President, and Sue Crampton as Secretary. The brokerage has since grown with Sue as broker, and eight fantastic acents.

"My personal philosophy as well as the philosophy of the company is that everyone deserves a chance at home ownership. Anyone that walks into our sales office and wants to buy a new custom home or condo is our customer." The company is focused on selling new custom homes and condos. The continuing trend of the building of new homes has catapulted Pristine Florida Properties into a multi-niillion dollar business with sales figures exceeding $109 million in 2005. In addition, the company also houses general real estate agents and agents who specialize in land sales.

Sue attributes the incredible success of the company to the exceptional products they market as well as the support and trust of the realtors that continue to bring in new clients. "As a result of our stellar reputation, other real estate agents support us on an on-going basis." Pristine Florida Properties also prides itself on its tailored marketing plan. Each community has marketing that is customized to that particular development. Most of the marketing is done through the individual community websites and community specific brochures. By concentrating on new custom homes and condos, the company is able to carve a niche and specialize in this area to become an exceptional force in the new home market. "There is nothing better than being able to put a customer in the new home of their dreams. It is an incredible feeling."

In addition to the many professional associations the company belongs to, it also supports a variety of non-profit and charitable organizations. Sue herself sits on the board of several organizations such as Freedom Ride and the Bridges of Light Foundation for which she is the 2006 Chairperson of its Player's Ball charity auction. Previously, Sue was a Trustee for the Home Builders Of Metro Orlando Foundation, Past President of Habitat for Humanity in Seminole County and was a committee member for noteworthy philanthropic causes such as the Coalition for the Homeless and the National Association for the Missing and Exploited Children just to mention a few.

Before real estate and before there was Sue Crampton the multi-million dollar REALTOR', believe it or not, this passionate and vibrant woman maintained a career as an accountant. "There was little interaction with people in being an accountant. I did the books and we left it at that." After her husband pushed her to follow Mary into real estate, Sue realized that she had stumbled upon the perfect career. Sue says enthusiastically, "I am such a people person, I enjoy the many facets that a career in real estate offers and could never see myself doing anything but this."

After obtaining her license in November of 1983, Sue threw herself into her new career beginning in general real estate and has never looked back. She began her career with Watson Realty and has worked with several top-notch brokerages before she became Vice President of Sales and Marketinc, with Pristine Florida Properties, Inc. The enthusiasm for her career is evident in the designations she has acquired and the awards she has received. In addition to being a GRI, CSP and becoming a candidate for MIM she has been awarded the REALTOR' of the Year, Spike of the Year from the Home Builder's Association of Metro Orlando as well as the HBA Leadership award and for the past 5 years, Achievement Award from the Master Custom Builders Council. She has also been a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club for every company she has ever worked for. In 2005, her amazing sales prowess yielded her a personal sales volume of $57 million proving herself time and again as one of Orlando's top realtors.

While Sue's credentials speak for themselves, so does her personality. "I am a control freak," Sue chuckles, "I adniit it!" A self proclaimed workaholic and "type A personality," Sue always goes the extra mile to provide service to her customers. As an onsite agent for Pristine Florida Properties, this sometimes means long hours being proverbially "shackled to a desk." Doing most of her work on her own, Sue finds that having control over every aspect of her work as well as the freedom of doing things on her own terms gives her a feeling of accomplishment. "It feels good knowing people have enough confidence in your abilities to let you run your own show," says Sue proudly.

Currently, Sue is marketing Lake Burden, a custom home commnunity in Windermere. Lake Burden at the Lakes of Windermere will feature seven custom builders. It was the chosen community for the 2006 New American Home that was built by Hannigan Homes and featured in the 2006 International Builders Show. "We are also marketing The French Quarter, a townhouse community in College Park and new condo communities: Promenade, Lake Sherwood, The Shores, Lake Fairview and a few more to be named at a later date" discloses Sue. "Our sister company, Historic Creations Realty markets two new downtown condo projects: The Sanctuary Downtown and Star Tower."'

Her love for her career also stems from the fact that she has met some of her best friends though real estate. Many start out as customers. When asked if there is a particular customer that stands out in her mind, Sue says there are two. The first is Mitch Menaker. My first introduction to Mitch and his wife, Gloria was when they came into the subdivision where I was working and they purchased a home from me. The home was under construction. Mitch and Gloria left and ten minutes later a family came into the office and needed a home sooner than later. I called Mitch and asked him if he could move to another home that was just starting construction and would be finished later. Of course, he wanted to know, "what was in it for them" and after he laughed, he agreed to give up his first home and wait for the next home to be built. Since then, I have sold Mitch and Gloria another home, marketed a couple of homes for them and we have become very good friends. Mitch and Gloria are wonderful people to know. The second person that stands out in my mind is Toby Chanes. Toby, a realtor, from Connecticut, and her son Marty came into a subdivision that I was marketing. They were working with a local realtor. Toby purchased a home from me while calling her husband, Joe, on the phone. They moved into their new home in August 2002 and since then, Toby and I have become best friends. Honestly, you can't find a better friend. Toby also got her Florida real estate license and works for Pristine Florida Properties, Inc. as an onsite agent .

When one is a workaholic, it can be easy to neglect family and home life. Sue's family and friends have always been at the top of her list. As such, she has paid close attention to maintaining the separation between career and personal life. "My husband is very supportive of me and everything I do, in fact, if I'm not working. he worries!"

Sue's husband and best friend, Ray Crampton, has been a phenomenal positive force in her life as well as in the life of her only daughter, Stephanie, whom Ray helped raise from the time she was twelve. Their sorrow was inconceivable when in June of 2005, Stephanie and her husband, Scott Moeller, were killed in a boating accident. The tragedy devastated Sue and Ray who were comforted by friends and family. Sue reflects, "My friends are numerous and close to my heart. Without them and the support of my husband, parents and family, I wouldn't have made it."

Sue is quick to point out that it would have been easy for her to stop working, to give up on real estate. However, after a month off from her career, it was her love of the job that pulled her through her and inspired her to continue working.
